During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Silicon Valley Leadership Group Foundation partnered with leading Silicon Valley companies to launch the Silicon Valley COVID-19 Aid Coalition, a coordinated effort to support hospitals and clinics across the region.
Together, companies and individuals contributed more than $8.5 million in monetary and in-kind donations to help secure urgently needed medical supplies and protective equipment.
Beyond immediate relief, the coalition created standardized PPE specification sheets that helped hospitals, clinics, and organizations across California and the United States identify and evaluate donated equipment more effectively.
The initiative demonstrated the power of collaboration and highlighted Silicon Valley’s ability to come together in times of crisis to support the communities that need it most.
